Groups

Groups

Groups are made up of Users.

They can be useful for categorizing Users based on their position, responsibilities, etc. E.g. 'Content Creators', 'System Admins', and so on.

Here's some guides for managing Groups on your CMS. 

Create New Group

To create a new group, go to 'Groups' on the navigation bar, then select 'New'.

Next, add a name and description for the new group - E.g. 'Content Administrators', etc. Navigate to the 'Members' tab to add users and other groups to the new group. Once finished, select 'Submit' at the bottom of the page.

Add Users to a Group

To add/remove the users within a group, select 'Groups' on the navigation bar. In the list of groups, select the group which you would like to edit. To add members to the selected group, select 'Add'.

Next, select the individual users or the whole groups you would like to add to the selected group, then select 'Done'.

Remove Users from a Group

To remove a user from a group, select 'Groups' on the navigation bar. Next, select the group you would like to remove a user from. On the table below the list of groups, select the user which you would like to remove from the group and click the 'Remove' button.

Delete a Group

To delete an unwanted group, first select 'Groups' on the navigation bar. Choose the group which is no longer required, and select 'Delete'.

*Note: This will only delete the selected group, not the actual users within the group. To learn how to delete users, go to the Users Help Section.

View / Edit a Group's Name & Description

To view or edit the name and description of a particular group, first select 'Groups' on the navigation bar. Scroll through the list and select the relevant group. The 'Basic Details' will appear automatically, where you can view and edit the groups name and description. Make sure to click 'Submit' when finished editing.
